Speaker 1:

I want to share a concept with you all today very quickly in this short podcast, just want to dive straight in now. One big thing, one crucial thing, can transform your entire life. Think about that for a minute. If there was just one thing out there that could transform your business, your health and obviously we're looking at this being IBS, and I'm going to talk about that, what that is right now, and just quickly cover this. Before I sort of share this with you, I just want to explain where I got this from.

Speaker 1:

I'm a big believer that if you learn something from somebody, you should always mention that person. It's only right. So I read a book a while ago now and by a guy called Russell Brunson, a serial entrepreneur from America, and he was discussing something called the domino effect. It's basically a principle where and you've surely you've played or you've seen dominoes on YouTube or as a kid where one big domino, you smash it down and it knocks all the other dominoes down. Hopefully the dominoes are set up properly, but the point is, the domino effect is the one big domino, it's the one thing that we need to tackle in business or in our health, and it takes control of everything else, if that makes sense. So, without further ado, welcome back to Beyond Bathroom Blues podcast. This is not on YouTube, this is specifically just for the podcasters.

Speaker 1:

Today, I want to share with you what that one crucial thing is and how it can transform your entire life. So I'm your host again, glenn Nice to speak to you all, and we're talking about why, making IBS Irritable Bowel Syndrome, making that that you won Big Domino in 2025 and obviously beyond and it could be the game changer that you've been looking for. It's the idea that there's usually, as I said before, one central challenge, so it's once that challenge is solved, naturally, it's going to resolve, as you can imagine, numerous of the problems in your life and for millions of men out there like yourself, if you're listening, that domino, the big domino, is IBS. Think about it. What happens when you finally get your IBS under control? Maybe you haven't thought about it for a while. Sit down. I challenge you to sit down this evening. Don't wait either, on your own, in silence. Take out a notebook and pen and really get you know, crystal clear, on what your IBS is doing to you in your life everything your career, your relationships, your finances because it'll all lead to something it always does, but everybody's different and it'll be different for you, so I guess for me. One of you know a couple of things that I've seen in clients and obviously myself when I had IBS.

Speaker 1:

Your first is your energy. It's going to transform your energy. When you're not consistently battling with digestive issues, your body's going to finally work efficiently. And think about it. If your body's working efficiently, what positive effects is that going to have? You're going to have better nutrient absorption, better sleep and no more energy draining symptoms. Imagine just waking up every day feeling refreshed and being able to you know, have had a good night's sleep and you can smash the day ahead. Imagine what that'll do for your life moving forwards. And imagine that. So you're waking up every day refreshed and maybe you've you've had that in the past as a one-off. If you do struggle with sleep or you know you feel drained in the morning, well, imagine what it'd be like every day. It's a game changer.

Speaker 1:

Second is your career breakthrough. Think about it. Whether you're at work as an employee, you know, in high, maybe even senior management, or you're a business owner like myself, and you've got consistent energy, no more anxiety about your symptoms. You can finally focus on your work. No more planning your day around bathroom breaks, no more turning down opportunities. You put your productivity source. It really, really will. Take it from me first hand and speak to other people out there that have got IBS mastery, that that have really got it dialed in. It's a complete game changer. There's loads of people online you can research that talk about the positive effects of having it dialed in has on life and with it, your professional potential as well. And if your professional potential is enhanced, what does that do? It's going to make you earn more, isn't it? Because you can be more effective at work, so you can earn more money. What does everybody wants to earn more money, right? Third, social life blossoms.

Speaker 1:

Once you're not worried about sudden symptoms, you can finally say yes to things again rather than making excuses. How many men I've come across and chatted to that have to make excuses? And I've been there myself in the past where I've come up with some bs story that's utter crap, just to stay and avoid the thing that needs to be done. Or you know whether it's going out with friends for a meal or taking the kids somewhere because I've got symptoms and I've got issues and it's embarrassing. I don't want to say, listen, I've got a bit of diarrhea and I'm going to be sat on toilet all night of you're not, you're going to come up with some other rubbish and then that's going to affect everything as well. And next, if you're constantly making up excuses to like a girlfriend, your partner, your friends, anyone, it's going to affect your social life and we all know that we're social creatures. If that starts getting affected and we become more kind of isolated and that has lots of yucky effects, you know, further down the line as well and it's going to affect everything in it. Weekend trips but imagine getting all that dialed in. You can. Finally, you can pack your bags, cartier, and get away, start dating, bring it on. Yeah, the social anxiety that comes to ibs gone, okay.

Speaker 1:

Fourth, mental clarity emerges. Here's something really powerful I want to share with you. When you're not constantly thinking about your gut, your symptoms, your mind is free to focus on your goals, and this is we're all on about goals now. I love this time here. As I said before, it's 2025. Yeah, as the saying goes, new year, new me. You can finally focus on that your dreams, your relationships, your business, adding that legacy to your kids. You know turning up and being being the man that you should be. Fifth is your confidence source. This is huge. When you're not worried about symptoms striking at any moment, you can carry yourself differently, speak up in more meetings, because you're not like, oh, where's the toilet? Oh, is it over? Yet you know it's probably like that anyway. It's boring, but you know you get my point. You can take on new challenges and you can show up as your full self.

Speaker 1:

So how do we make IBS our one big domino, that big domino in 2025 that we're going to knock all the others down with? You've got to prioritize it, guys. If you're listening to this now, you've got to make this, as I said in my last podcast. If you listen to it and just to reiterate that point there and in my latest YouTube video on men's IBS mastery, you've got to make that the number one priority, because dealing with that as the one big domino, as I said in the video and podcast, will have loads of positive consequences and effects on other aspects of your life. That could cause loads and loads of health concerns down the line. So there's tons and tons of research.

Speaker 1:

It's not just me making this up going oh, you know, positive mr motivation on a monday. Yeah, let's get this ibs sorted out. I'm doing this because I care and I know firsthand what the drama, the shit no pun intended that comes with ibs, so you've got to prioritize it. Stop treating it as just like an inconvenience. Make it your primary health focus, that your primary goal, the number one thing in 2025, and you'll see how your life changes. With that in mind though, clearly it's all right doing that, I'm going, yeah, I'm prioritizing on this, I'm making it my number one focus, and then just maybe do what you've always done in the past maybe reading articles and books, and maybe I don't know, you're waiting to see a dietitian with the health care service in america or the nhs in the uk or whatever, and I don't know about us, but in america the nhs is on its knees nearly and seeing a dietitian. Yeah, good luck with that, and I don't mean that nastily, because I've been there. It takes ages. Most of you know that.

Speaker 1:

I've heard my previous stuff. I had an infection, an upper stomach or whatever infection. I shared that. I was scared because, you know, I had a bit of fear around that because I had bleeding and black tarry stools, which is two of the big telltale signs for bowel cancer. So I went and got checked straight away and it ended up being an infection and part of that process. Obviously I had that. That was done straight away, don't get me wrong. That was done like ASAP, got that, nipped tablets etc. But I had a follow-up appointment to see how things were of a gastroenterologist and it was like 12 months. 12 months because the wait was that long. It was meant I was meant to get seen after like a handful of weeks later or maybe a month later. 12 months later down the line, thankfully I was okay so I didn't need to sort of chase it up or go privately. I would have gone privately, I would have paid. If I'd have still been having symptoms and issues, I would have paid uh money and gone and gone and got that done to get it quicker, quicker.

Speaker 1:

But it just goes to show you and getting expert help is the one thing you know and somebody that specializes in ibs, not some random flipping healthcare nutritionist that is jack of all trades, master of none. Find that one person. Find somebody like my wife and business partner, charlie jean, like, like what we do. Find somebody that cares about you, that cares about your goals and your outcome, like is what we do with our clients and is going to get you there as quickly and as safely as possible so you can crack on doing the things that are more important. Once you've got that dialed in, do you see what I mean?

Speaker 1:

Third thing is that was one, there's two. There is track everything. Yeah, winners in life leaders, entrepreneurs, men that are successful they, they track things. They write stuff down. You've heard of journaling. I've mentioned it before. Maybe you've got a diary, whatever your thing is, maybe there's an app that you use, but you've got to start writing things down an ibs diary what you eat, your sleep, your hydration, all that stuff and then it can be used. That's what we use with our clients. So start tracking everything down and, even if you don't fully understand it, the the person that you work with will Got it.

Speaker 1:

And then number four is build a team, build a network. Surround yourself with people that are going to square you away, that are going to lift you up, that are not negative, not drains. Build a team to connect with others who've successfully managed IBS, not in some random Facebook group. That's why we created our Facebook group IBSbs in men because we were sick of seeing being and I've been in loads of facebook groups for ibs in the past just constantly people whinging and moaning and saying that this to try this supplement, and try that supplement, and try this method and try that method and half of it is complete rubbish. It's, it's outdated, it doesn't work. Oh yeah, but they believe it. And then somebody in there like yourself, that's new, like oh yeah, I'll try that and guess what it don't work. Oh yeah, I'll try that. And guess what it don't work.

Speaker 1:

And again, you're constantly on that path, that treadmill of trying different stuff and you're not getting the outcome. And how many years maybe been like that in the past I was like that. How many years go by? For me it was like years and years and years. I'm just like trying all this stuff and I don't know what your mindset is. But for me and maybe you're the same time is everything. You can't get time back, money, even if you skint and I've been skint before, I've been on, you know, I've been on my ass financially and several times and it's rubbish. But guess what if you switched on and you focused on doing stuff you know, using skills or developing new skills, getting a new job or promotion or whatever. You can get that money back at some point. If it's not in a week or two, it's certainly over months, moving forwards and years. You'll always be able to get money back. So that's that one, and yeah, so we've said yeah, building that network, commit as well, fully. The last one, five and I'm gonna let you go short and sweet today, number five, commit fully treat this as a transformational journey. That it is because it really really is.

Speaker 1:

I couldn't, if you ask me, glenn, what is the one thing? If you, you know, if you're struggling with ibs symptoms and they're out of control and they're affecting stuff and you need to get clear on what it is, as I said at the beginning, what is the one thing that I should do? Should I, you know, start exercising? Should I focus on maybe enhancing my sleep? Should I maybe do this? Should I do that? I'd say no, hang on a minute. The first thing you need to do and the only thing.

Speaker 1:

If it was me, I would go to war on it like I was back in the army. I would set up, you know, I would get my flipping body armor and helmet on and my kit and equipment and I'd get armed up to the teeth. And I'd be armed not just for myself. I'd get a team whether it's an expert, you know, to work with me, a coach or a mentor people in in the right group like a really good facebook group. I would set myself up for success, like a mission, and I would go for it all in because, bang, once that's done, buckle up, because the rest, everything else, just like I said before the big domino, everything else will fall into place. It really, really, will think about it.

Speaker 1:

Once your ibs is dialed in, there's no more excuses I can't train because I'm constipated or I'm feeling bloated or I'm letting off really stinky farts in the gym, and it's embarrassing Because that's how it all happens, isn't it? And that's just a handful, because if none of them are there, then you could train like you should be able to, like you want to do, do Commit fully to it and that's it. That's the one thing, remember solving IBS isn't just about it's not just about solving digestive issues. It's about unlocking your full potential. When you knock down that one big domino, the IBS domino, you're not just improving your gut health. Clearly you are. You're transforming your entire life. I need you to see that. Consider what that will do, consider what that will do, what that will do, and that is it. Thanks for listening. If it's been a help, if you think it's been you know added value or whatever, then please all I ask is give it a review.

Speaker 1:

The podcast we're quite a new podcast, as you know. For those that have been following we've we're on I don't know what episode. This is 43 or something. I strongly recommend you go back to the last couple that I've done, which will really really set you up for success in 2025 and beyond, where I talk about goal setting, finding a purpose and really just discussing how to not just set goals but succeed in them in a really simplistic way, and remember, simplicity is the key to mastery. Thanks for listening. I wish you nothing but the best in health, wealth and happiness. Take care, bye, bye. I wish you nothing but the best in health, wealth and happiness. Take care Bye-bye.
